Rulemaking on PLIGA Hardship Exception

In November 2010, MSNJ filed comments with the Department of Banking & Insurance concerning a proposed “unusual hardship” exception that would allow certain minors to file claims against the Property-Liability Insurance Guaranty Association (PLIGA) fund after the bar date. MSNJ supported the exception since it would provide some coverage for physicians who treat minors and are exposed beyond the bar date. Read MSNJ’s comments in their entirety.
